Set buying guardrails

Tell the agent what counts as a savings opportunity worth surfacing, once, and every opportunity in the Savings Center already respects it.

What you get

  • Control over which suppliers the agent is allowed to suggest switching to
  • A savings floor — percentage and dollar amount — so small, noisy opportunities don't clutter your queue
  • Renewal reminders timed to when you actually need them

Buying guardrails

Under Settings → Buying guardrails you set:

  • Approved suppliers — restrict switch-supplier suggestions to this list; leave it empty to allow any supplier the agent finds.
  • Minimum savings % and minimum savings amount — only surface an opportunity when the expected savings meets or exceeds both.
  • Excluded categories — purchase-catalog categories the agent should never flag.
  • Minimum evidence grade — only surface an opportunity backed by at least this grade of evidence (low, medium, or high).
  • Renewal lead times — how many days before a contract's renewal date to raise a renewal-due alert; add more than one to get an early warning followed by a closer reminder.

How they work together

Guardrails shape which opportunities reach the Savings Center at all, and when a renewal alert fires. Set them before you run your first check — a realistic savings floor and evidence-grade minimum mean every opportunity you see is one worth your time, not a queue you have to filter by hand.
