Set positioning guardrails

Keep every suggestion inside your rules with a margin floor, a positioning band, and a discount ceiling you control.

What you get

  • A safety net the agent can't suggest past, no matter how a competitor moves.
  • A positioning band that keeps you within a percentage range of a named competitor's price, tier for tier.
  • A hard ceiling on discounting, checked before every recommendation reaches the Action Center.

Setting your guardrails

Under Settings → Pricing guardrails you define the rules the agent must respect when it suggests a price change for an offering:

  • Margin floor % — an absolute safety net across every offering and tier. Leave it blank for no constraint.
  • Floor price — enable it to honor the per-offering floor price set on each plan in Plan catalog; the agent never suggests a price below it.
  • Positioning band — keep your price within a percentage range above or below a named competitor's price, for the same tier and billing term. Pick the competitor and set a min % and max %.
  • Discount ceiling % — the largest discount off list price the agent may ever recommend, regardless of positioning band or margin floor.

How they work together

Margin floor and floor price set the absolute limit; the positioning band sets where you sit relative to a competitor within that limit; the discount ceiling caps how far any single suggestion can move. Together they turn a competitor's price or entitlement change into a short list of decisions worth your time in the Action Center — every suggestion pre-checked against them.
