Run a check & read a recommendation
A "run" is one price check across your connected retailers for your catalog. Here's how to trigger one and what to do with the result.
Triggering a run
From the Overview page, select Run now to check current prices across every retailer you've connected under Settings → Retailers, for every product in your catalog. Each run consumes research units, which count against your plan's cap — see Billing & credits basics for how that's measured. If you'd rather not trigger runs manually every time, a schedule can run checks for you automatically.
What happens during a run
Behind the scenes, each product/retailer pair is researched and the results are quality-checked before they're finalized. This is why a run isn't instant — it's doing real comparison work, not just refreshing a cached price.
Reading the result
When a run completes, two things can appear:
- Recommendations in the Action Center — a suggested action, with the reasoning behind it, for products where the price picture is worth reviewing.
- Alerts on the Alerts page — a notice that something changed, tagged with a severity.
A run that finds nothing noteworthy is a normal, healthy outcome — it means your prices are currently in line with what you've configured.
